변현우

변현우는 창원을 기반으로 활동하는 미디어 아티스트다. 음악 제작, 영상과 모션 그래픽, 설치를 넘나들며 일상의 시각적 패턴을 소리로 옮기는 작업을 한다.

그는 삶의 반경 안에서 익숙하게 마주해 온 풍경—담장과 펜스, 신호등의 깜빡임 같은 것들—을 리듬과 전자음악으로 읽어내고, 이를 다시 영상으로 재구성한다.

일상의 요소와 음악을 재료 삼아, 너무 익숙해서 지나쳐 온 풍경을 유희적인 형태로 새롭게 가공한다.

Byun Hyun Woo

Byun Hyun Woo is a media artist based in Changwon, South Korea. Moving across music production, video and motion graphics, and installation, he translates the visual patterns of everyday life into sound.

He reads the familiar sights within the radius of his daily life—walls, fences, the blinking of traffic lights—as rhythm and electronic music, and reconstructs them as video.

Using everyday elements and music as material, he reworks landscapes too familiar to notice into new, playful forms.
